I've Decided!

I've considered everyone's totally brilliant advice and have decided the fate of April Showers. So here are the changes! (I WOULD surprise you, but we all know I can't keep a secret about anything in my life.)

Personal vs. Design Blog: Are staying as ONE! Yeah, I'm not gonna break them up. They love each other and would be way saddened with a divorcement. Time and all eternity for these two! (Unless the internet crashes...)

Drop Down Menu vs. Fun Tabby Menu: How about BOTH!!!?? It sort of depends on my patience with the HTML involved in this pesky task, but it's doable I have found...and therefore refuse to be defeated! MWA HA!

Free Backgrounds: I'm not going to be offering free backgrounds. Why? Because they've been DONE BEFORE and I like to be different! I'm more considering offering templates or headers. Just something out of the ordinary.

Labels/Blog Archive: I hate labels....with a passion. I stopped labeling stuff months ago, and before that I labeled random posts with "I ate a bagel today" and "sad llama" and totally off-the-wall stuff that wouldn't be useful. (But are still a little funny nonetheless.) I'll probably keep my blog archive towards the bottom. There will be plenty of fun things to find up top.

Tutorials: I'm going to get more into tutorials. I actually heard a blog designer say that they don't want to offer any help to clients or readers because it "creates competition." I was like, DUDE - there are like 234234 bloggers to every 1 designer....and there are like 2342345 people to every 1 blogger. This whole thing is going to get even BIGGER and we need more designers in the world! Plus...there are only a handful of really "good" designers anyway. So being competitive is a good thing because it forces you to be "better." So woot!

My Beloved Tabbed Sidebar: I've finally figured it out and I'm in LOVE. It's on my babymakin' blog (aka my guinea pig) and I might have to make out with the screen the next time I see it.

My "Illustration": This one is pretty tough to decide... I've been considering some really cute stock photos. Maybe this will have to be a surprise. What do you think I should do?

I'm also eventually going to be working on...

The Blog Designer Directory:  It's amazing/brilliant/wonderful/you're going to love it.
My Babymakin' Blog:  I have an adorable idea for the header!

Hope you all have a fabulous weekend! If you have any bloggy questions, just FACEBOOK ME!

Sounds like you got it all figured out! Excellent! And, your fans love you so it's good you took some friendly advice from them. :)

Which reminds me, I'm hoping to get on the list for a blog design update/tweak and I'd really like a button! Let me know when I can be added to the order list at Crumbs.

I think you should put up some cute REAL pics of you or something "rainy dayish". But that is just my opinion.

I have been looking for a tutorial about a drop down menu WITH a graphic menu bar. Care to share a link with me, my friend?

I'm glad you are keeping the design with the personal. It's YOU. Don't change it.

I agree with the competition thing...I'm a designer, but we have totally different styles, so I'm thinking we'll have totally different clients too. I will admit, I used your tutorial for the menu bar and it saved my life! :)
