Craft Swap!

Do you have good quality scrapbooking and crafting items you just can't seem to find a use for? Are you growing tired of your ginorm collection of scrapbook papers you never use? Do you have thirty different types of scissors you're sick of? Are you done with your stamps? Do you have some decent sized fabric scraps? What about an empty memory book? Are you like me, who bought an entire box of pressed flowers when I really only needed half that much and now have had them for 3 years and don't know what to do with them? Yeah... then you should participate in the Craft Swap!

The Craft Swap! is a great way of getting rid of the stuff you don't want, and getting some new-to-you items.

Here are the details and requirements:

1. E-mail me at aprilshowersblogdesign@hotmail.com to tell me you'd like to be involved in the swap. Make a post about this swap on your blog, and grab this button too.

2. In the e-mail, include your full REAL name, your address, and the approximate yard sale value of the items you plan to send. (Not including shipping.)

3. You will NOT be getting any money for your items, but I will try to closely match each swap partner with someone else who is looking to send crafts for about the same value. Price points: $10, $15, $20, $25, $30, $35. It can be more, but not less than $10. Remember to price your items fairly.

4. You will get a "Swap Partner" that I will assign. This is the only person that will get your personal information. This is who you'll send your package to, and who you'll be receiving a package from.

5. Shipped items must be of a "craft-like" nature. (i.e. no beauty products, DVD's, etc...)

6. Items must be in good to new condition. If it's a stamp, please wash it off and make it look like new. Please trim paper scraps if necessary. Include things you might like to receive. It's a CRAFT swap, not a CRAP swap. LOL!

7. You MUST be able to mail your package ON March 16th, 2009. You'll need to pay for shipping yourself, but those flat rate boxes are EXCELLENT. Also, some craft stuff really isn't that heavy, so be sure to weigh it to get the best deal on shipping.

8. After you get the package, you must do a post about what you received! (It's no fun if we can't see what you got!) :D

9. Post a comment here too!

10. I will be collecting participants until this Saturday at 10pm. Monday morning, March 9th I will e-mail you your partner's name and address etc...

All this "digital" creativity on my part has me missing the good ol' glue stick and paper. Let me tell you - I an an unnatural love for fresh paper and crafts. I don't know what it is - the smell, the feel, the look of virgin notebook paper - Let me loose in a Michael's or Sierra's (even the craft/office section of any store) and you won't see me until next week when I'll be lying on the floor, rolling in all my purchases. Then I'll scream "ow" because among those purchases are probably a few sets of funky edge scissors.

I hope you all participate!!! :D (I got this idea from Mamarazzi at Dandelion Wishes who does a "Favorite Things Swap!" Thanks!)

13 really, really, ridiculously good looking comments:

I will have to take a look. I'm not really a crafty person, so I don't know what I have.
